Sports and Recreation

Various sports and recreation related photos from recent years.

Kayaking in Chapel Arm, taken by Deanne Power. A bright blue kayak sits on the rocky shore with its nose resting in the water at Western Cove Beach. Fitness trail equipment, photo taken by Tracy Smith when it was installed in June 2022. Pictured are two four sided structures sitting on concrete bases. The structures are each comprised of four beige metal legs, joined by picture boards depicting exercise instructions, sheltered by a small green sloped roof. Each side of the equipment depicts a different exercise with an accompanying piece of metal bar or playground type equipment designed for completing the exercises. Behind the two fitness equipment towers, the chain link fence of the softball field is visible, as is the walking trail.

The structure is comprised of four beige metal posts affixed to a concrete slab. The four posts are attached by rectangular picture boards depicting various exercises that can completed with the other playground like equipment attached to the structure. The structure is nestled under the trees and is to the right of the walking trail.
